ALDOUS BERTRAM DESIGN is a full service interior design studio located in Charleston, South Carolina, with projects across the country.
Prior to founding his eponymous firm, Aldous received a PhD in historic design from Cambridge University, before holding a senior position at Amanda Lindroth Design for eight years. Aldous is also an artist and product designer with various collaborations under his belt, as well as a published author.
Jointly leading the firm since 2024, Miller Heiman brings her trained artist's eye, a decade of design experience and a love for project management.
Both Aldous and Miller share a deep admiration for British design sensibilities (Aldous' country of birth), prioritizing mixing over matching, resulting in rooms that feel curated over time rather than created. Known for their love of color and pattern, they capitalize upon their extensive experience to create memorable and joyful interiors that are full of individuality.
Great pride is taken in building a strong and enjoyable working relationship with every client, working closely to develop their personal styles and treasured possessions into a cohesive and beautiful scheme.
